Operational report 2023
The operational report presents an overview of the Challenges Forum’s tangible results and progress towards the partnership’s strategic objectives. It also describes the efforts of the Challenges Forum International Secretariat in supporting the partnership in 2024.
International peace operations continued to face serious challenges during the year in review. With member states’ fatigue including budget cuts, a decline in host state consent, as well as more thematic areas such as increasing climate-related security threats, and detrimental mis- and disinformation. However, the Challenges Forum partnership brought light in the darkness by coming together on several occasions, to strive towards a better future. To discuss things, including difficult and challenging issues, with open minds, and dedicated to find answers and possible solutions.
